Paving the Way

Julia Sarr-Jamois strikes a balance between brains and beauty. At just 23, she is the Fashion Editor for Wonderland magazine and happens to be the face of Tibi's new Spring 2012 campaign. Her unique sense of style and RAD hair inspire me to push the envelope a lil' further.

Pump, Pump, Pump it up!!

Pointy pumps are back! Dig them out, Dust them off and put them back in rotation. I prefer to wear mine with cropped trousers or ankle length skinnies. They add a touch of femininity to an outfit that might have otherwise been too casual or too masculine.

Glamdrogony at it's best!

Lovin the way these ladies rock what I would consider Glamourous Androgony.

Culture: Jessie James After Hours

The ladies talking shop with Jess.

Our very own Rachel C. and dedicated shopper Dom.

The lovely ladies from Gilt City who helped make our party possible.

Modeling her newest Jessie James cuff bracelet.

Last week we teamed up with Gilt City to announce the launch of our e-commerce site, and to celebrate the event we showed our shoppers what happens after hours at Jessie James. With live music by DJ RAWSE, our very own specialty cocktails and signature prosecco, we were up all night shopping and styling. And, by the looks of it, they loved it as much as we did!

Thanks again to all who joined us!

Culture: The Children's Museum of the Arts

The live auction in action at 82 Mercer St., Soho, New York.

Gorgeous daisy installations and well-dressed attendees decorated the interior of the auction space.

The Twitter Ball installation the CMA Art Auction.

At CMA the mission is to secure the future of the arts in New York City by creating a place that inspires and reaches out to the next generation of artists and art lovers through community programs.

So when they had their annual art auction earlier this month, Jessie James just had to be there. And what an honor it was to mingle with members from New York City's worlds of fashion, finance, and art all there in support of art for our city's children. With art up for auction that had been donated by the likes of the Andy Warhol Foundation, Yoko Ono, and Sophia Coppola, it was certainly the charity event of the season that was not to be missed.

Check out the CMA flickr for more photos from the event.

Spotlight on Designers: Tibi's First Shoe Line

Amy Smilovic first launched her brain child, Tibi, in 1997 while living abroad in Hong Kong with her husband. And, in what seemed like an instant, the contemporary women's label shot to the top of the fashion world, largely due to its effortlessly chic image and luxury construction. So, when we heard Tibi was adding a shoe line for F/W 2011, we had no doubt these babies would be beautiful. And, of course, they are!

Shop our favorite Tibi shoes here (and stayed tuned for more to come).

Inspired: Industrial Drab Turned Totally Fab

Living in a marvelous city like New York its easy to take for granted the often understated beauty of the place we call home. Some days it just feels like we're living in a mess of urban sprawl and industrial drab; surrounded by concrete, steel and scaffolding. But then comes along a photo spread like this one (from Muse Magazine) and we're reminded just how fabulous this city really is.
